Orion Test Flight Animation

An animation of the first test flight of Orion, Nasa’s next multi-purpose crew vehicle scheduled for 2014. This will provide Nasa with an affordable solution and multiple mission capability. A culmination of more than  50 years of spaceflight research and development, the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) is designed to meet the changing needs of Nasa’s space program for decades to come.

Orion will serve as the space vehicle that will carry the crew to space, provide emergency abort capability, sustain the crew during space travel, and provide safe re-entry.
