Back To The Moon

A look at project Constellation which is aiming to take US back into outer space. There are plans for three different moon missions to increase capabilities for outer space travel. This will require the development of new equipment such as the Orion crew capsule and the Ares 1 and Ares V rocket lifters.

A long term goal is to establish a continuous human presence on the moon. A base will be built, probably near the Moons south pole. Deployments will last for approximately 6 months periods with a new 4 man crew arriving at the end of each period and the current crew returning back to Earth.
