Discovery of a New Planet – NASA

NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope discovered a new gas planet, the most distant planet we know. Spitzer telescope together with ground telescopes uses a specific technique called microlens parallax technique in order to determine the distribution of planets in our galaxy.
