Halo of Gas Around Andromeda Galaxy Is a Thousand Times More Massive than Scientists Think

Astronomers found out a huge halo of gas around our nearest neighboring galaxy, Andromeda, which is a thousand times more massive and 6 times larger than they previously thought. They used NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope to gain data that help them discover the expansion of the halo, which amounts a million light-years from Andromeda and halfway to our galaxy.
