Astronomers Detected Water Snow Line Around Young Star

Using the Atacama Large Millimeter/ submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile, scientists have found a protoplanetary disk, a cloud of stellar gas and dust that surrounds a young star, with a water snow line for the first time. According to them, a water snow line appears when the inner temperature decreases enough to form ice.
