The time difference between Earth, Neptune, and Sedna years is significant due to their varying distances from the Sun and their respective orbital periods. A year on Earth is 365.25 days, the time it takes for our planet to complete one orbit around the Sun. Neptune, being much farther from the Sun, has a much longer orbit, taking about 165 Earth years to complete a single revolution around the Sun. Sedna, a distant trans-Neptunian object, is even farther from the Sun and has an exceptionally long orbital period. It takes approximately 11,400 Earth years to complete one orbit around the Sun, making its year the longest of the three. As a result, the length of a year dramatically increases as you move farther from the Sun, with Sedna’s year being vastly longer than those of both Neptune and Earth.
