IBEX Observes Interstellar Medium – NASA

IBEX, NASA’s Interstellar Boundary Explore, has captured the best and most complete picture yet of what lies beyond the boundary of our solar system. The new data give indications about how and where our solar system formed and about the forces that shape our soar system.

IBEX was launched in October 2008. with ts main objective to provide data on the interactions between tthe interstellar medium at the edge of our solar system and the solar wind.
