Measuring Ripples in Space-Time

Following on from yesterdays post on gravitational waves we present a video on new techniques to measure these tiny ripples in space. With researchers at Stanford University, scientists at NASA Goddard are developing a system to measure the faint gravitational vibrations generated by movement of massive objects in the universe.

There could be many spinofsf from this technology too, with the potential to make huge advances in fields like geolocation and timekeeping.
