NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover UPDATE – November 15, 2012

A Nasa scientist gives us an update on the Curiosity mission and explains a bit about what the RAD (Radiation Assessment Detector) and REMS (Rover Environmental Monitoring Station) instruments were designed to measure.

Curiosity’s goals  include the investigation of the Martian geology and climate and the assessment of whether the selected field site inside Gale Crater ever has offered the right conditions favorable for micro life. In addition a number of studies in preparation for future human exploration.
