Saturn’s Outer Ring, Phoebe, Is 7000 Times Larger than Saturn
In 2009, NASA’s Spitzer Space Telescope found an outer Saturn’s ring, but scientists lacked data to prove it. Recently, scientists have discovered new data that confirm its existence and even reveal that the ring is much larger and weirder than they previously thought. Saturn’s outer ring called Phoebe is 3.75 million miles away from Saturn and stretches about 6 million miles wide.
