Here is an extract of a never seen before episode of Carl Sagan’s ‘Cosmos’. This was the 14th episode of the Cosmos series but apparently was never shown. It was rediscovered many years later and I must admit my ignorance as I am at a loss to explain the message that Carl is trying to get across, if any. Please help and write a comment if you understand.
The original series had 13 episodes and covered a wide range of scientific topics such as a perspective of our place in the universe and the origin of life. As of 2009, Cosmos was still the most widely watched Public Broadcast Series programme in the world. It has won numerous awards and has been broadcast in more than 60 countries and seen by more than 500 million people.
